Travis Pastrana is bringing a retro rally machine to the Speed Goodwood Festival.
Meet the “Family Hawkster”. This is a humble, boxy and charming Subaru GL Wagon that has become a gymkhana-race racer in Hunigan and Subaru Motorsports USA designed to host Travis Pastrana at the Speed Goodwood Festival, as well as the upcoming gymkhana film for this year. Last year, Pastrana’s 2020 Airslayer STI took second place in Goodwood’s Hillclimb shootout and is expected to achieve another podium finish for the Family Hawkster.

The car has an incredible 862-horsepower Subaru Boxer 4-cylinder engine with all-wheel drive and a 6-speed sequential gearbox, along with WRC-spec suspension and Pastrana’s record-setting Mr. Washington Hill Climb Run. Despite the retro look, the car features active aerodynamics and extensive use of carbon fiber and custom one-of-a-kind KMC wheels inspired by Subaru in the 80’s, with the exception of race cars with a mock monoblock design that is modern, light and durable.
The look of the car embraces the boxy look of the original Subaru GL Wagon, and features a gauge cluster and dashboard with a flannel-like lever that modernizes what the old car was known for with digital readouts in the 1980s Subaru style, as well as a blue carbon fiber. Which mimics the blue dashboard of an old car. From 1983 to 2022, Subaru will be making a splash in this Jenny Tech Goodwood with GL Wagon.
