According to a tweet from The Game Awards Video Game Awards show, the “Gran Turismo” video game series will give birth to a movie scheduled for its August 11, 2023 premiere.
The plot centers on a teenage Gran Turismo player who becomes a real-world professional racing driver, according to a tweet.
There are also allegations that Neil Bloomcamp was tapped to direct the movie. His previous achievements include the science fiction films “District 9,” “Elysium,” and “Chappy.” He is also known as a car man, and has managed an installment in the BMW Films short-film series, so he must be fit to handle racing action.
The Gran Turismo movie directed by Neil Bloomcamp is coming out on August 11, 2023.

Gran Turismo is considered the gold standard for realism in racing games for its carefully rendered cars and tracks. It usually takes precedence over the plot, but hopefully this means we’ll get some quality racing scenes on the silver screen.
This will not be the first racing game to become a movie. A “Need for Speed” film was released in 2014, but it was widely panned. This did not deter corporations from trying to film any and all car-related intellectual property. Even “Hot Wheels” is going to get a movie, although the release date has not been announced.
The latest installment in the Gran Turismo series: “Gran Turismo 7” – released in March 2022 with Porsche and Jaguar’s new Vision Gran Turismo concepts along with a general assortment of nice-looking cars. The Gran Turismo 7 also marks the first appearance of Genesis in the series. Hyundai has licensed its G70 sedan and X GR3 and G70 GR4 race car concepts for the luxury brand game.
