Polyester is not far behind with its upcoming four-door grand tour.
Polyester 5 will make a complete pack 650kW Of power and 900Nm The amount of torque from its dual-motor electric powertrain, even up to 90kW on the most powerful Porsche Tycoon, has an extra 150Nm on tap in the Taycan Turbo S. Porsche.
Like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, the Polestar 5 will have an 800V architecture designed to allow quick charge times of electricity on a DC Ultra-Rapid plug.
A prototype version of the Polyester 5 will compete with Goodwood Hillclimb at the Speed Festival next week. However, it will be 2024 before the production version graces the road.
Dr. before polyester 5, which will look like a concept concept, will offer “class-leading dynamics, rigidity and safety features” for its bonded aluminum chassis.
It will follow the wheel track of the already sold Polestar 2, which is already on sale, the Polestar 3 SUV (to be released this year), and the smaller Polestar 4 SUV (scheduled for 2023).
Underneath the skin says a new bonded aluminum chassis polyester that will be stiffer than the current two-door sports car or supercar. Although it is powerful, the brand claims that its body-in-white weight will be less than that of the car in small portions.

The production techniques used here will be applied to other future polyester products. Bonded aluminum structures have traditionally been reserved for low-volume sports cars, but the brand claims that its new manufacturing process is faster and more mass-production friendly than the more traditional methods.
Like other polyester cars, the 5 will be made in China and sold worldwide.
The name Polyester has come a long way since it began collaborating with motorsports firm Volvo in 1995. In 2013, the company began tuning Volvo for improved performance.
Polyester’s tuning arm was purchased in 2015, the motorsports division turned into cyan racing. In 2017 Polestar became its own standalone brand, and was tasked with becoming Geely’s flagship brand for electric vehicles.
The brand is currently preparing to form its partnership with Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) Gores Guggenheim, in an expected move to raise about 50 850 million ($ A1.2 billion).
The increase will support the Sweden-based EV brand, founded by Volvo and Zhejiang Gili Holding Group, with its aggressive growth plan featuring a model launch each year.
Polyester’s common stock should start trading on Nasdaq from June 24 under the new ticker symbol ‘PSNY’.
Polyester is expected to increase its annual sales to 290,000 by 2025, which is expected to increase from 29,000 in 2021 to break even by 2023.
