Huara founder Horacio Pagani stands out as one of the most iconic hypercars in mind, focused on providing a truly unique driving experience that presents itself as a form of art. Focusing on design and performance, Horacio set out to create and unveil the first Pagani Huara in January 2015. During the seven years of production, Huara passed through an array of exclusive variations including Huara BC, Huara Roadster, Huara. BC Roadster, and Huayra R. Horacio Pagani and Automobili Pagani are proud to present Huayra Codalunga as the latest ‘Taylor Made Suite’ added to the portfolio of luxury hypercars. Longtail Huara is a tribute to the shape of 1960s racing cars and classic Italian coachbuilders. The idea to create a series of coach-built Huayra examples came back in 2018, when two pagan collectors approached the brand requesting a long-tail version of the coupe.
After jumping on board with the idea, Horacio quickly went to work behind the doors of the special operation of the Pagani Grandi Complexioni to develop the project. The most notable aspect of the Huara Kodalunga is its elongated body style, which beautifully accentuates the curvature that controls its aerodynamics and cooling elements. With a dry weight of just 2,822-pounds, the Huara Kodalunga chassis is made using carbo-titanium to provide extra strength while ensuring a light weight feel. The color options focus on neutral tones that are not only reminiscent of the late 1960s, but also a way to highlight the simplicity of each car.
The interior goes back to an era when a car cabin was built by hand, using manual skills of the past that were aligned with the same standards that Pagani still maintains today. The launch configuration features a rich brown leather and nubuck design, featuring hand-polished titanium trim material. The driver-based layout blends traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort and performance convenience.
The Huara Long Tail has a slotted engine cover on the back that reads ‘Kodalunga’, with a giant twin-turbocharged Pagani V12 at the bottom of the hole. The engine produces an amazing 840-horsepower and 811-pound-foot torque on its rear wheels, making it the perfect race weapon for any owner who is risky enough to get it on track. Proving itself to be more than a foot taller than the twin in its coupe, the Huara Kodalunga features a newly designed titanium extraction system that makes all the right noise when losing 9.7-pounds.
