Half a century has passed since the first establishment of one of the most iconic names in European performance.
BMW M began life on May 24, 1972, when the partnership agreement for BMW Motorsport GmbH was first signed. Exactly 50 years later, the brand’s two most iconic models, the M3 and M4, received a “BMW M 50 Jahre Edition” to celebrate an important anniversary. The BMW M4 Coupe BMW M 50 Jahre version will be available in Carbon Black, Macau Blue, Brands Hatch Gray, Emola Red and San Marino Blue in Europe and other selected regions.

The BMW M4 BMW M 50 Jahre Edition Fire Orange and Stratus Gray are available in the Chinese market to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BMW M to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. The BMW M3 sedan will get the BMW M 50 Jahre in the United States and Canada. Versions and production in Cinebar Red, Techno Violet, Interlagos Blue, Fire Orange and Limerick Gray will be limited to 500 units. On the interior of all models of the BMW M 50 Jahre version, badging, lettering and a blade will designate the limited edition, and with the limited M3 model, the number within 500 will also be displayed. If any performance brand knows how to celebrate its 50th anniversary, it is BMW M.
