The new 2023 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 “version 55” is celebrating AMG’s 55th anniversary

A small car took part in a big celebration for AMG.

AMG’s 55th anniversary has already given us lots of special editions and amazing celebration projects from our brand, and it continues here in the US, creating the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 “version 55” in 2022 to mark the 55th anniversary of AMG’s founding. In 1967. The CLA 45 “version 55” will only be available in the United States, and has been chosen to match the anniversary year, limited to an incredibly rare 55 units. The car has a lot of special touches and features that set it apart from the “Edition 55” version of CLA 45.

It all starts with the AMG Aerodynamics package. A front apron and splitter, an AMG rear wing, and deflectors on the rear apron’s air outlet are all painted in high-gloss black, and wind tunnel tests have been shown to improve driving at high speeds. The AMG Night package darkens the trim pieces on the exterior of the car for a smooth and scary look. To complete the look, the car is finished with Cosmos Black Metal, 19-inch matte gray wheels and “Edition 55” graphics throughout. The interior features a two-tone upholstery in classic red and black nappa leather, with an “Edition 55” fitted steering wheel, as well as “Edition 55” embroidery on the floor mats. The car is set to be available for purchase later this year for the 2023 model year, and with only 55 available, it is fast approaching.
