The 2023 Lexus RX teased again before its June 1 release

Less than a day before it was released, Lexus Gave us another brief look at the fifth generation RX SUV 7 in a series of shady little looping teaser videos

As previously confirmed, Lexus plans to unveil the new RX worldwide on June 1, at 10AM AEST.

Unlike previous cropped teaser images, these new videos show the full front of an upcoming RX.

On the front, the new RX company’s signature holds a large spindle grille attached to a headlight that has the signature of ordinary L-shaped daytime running light. There is also a large side air intake and a sporty front bumper leap.

This front bumper design looks like an extended version of the unit mounted on a Lexus NX mid-size SUV in F-Sport camouflage.

Around the back, the other teaser features a full-width light bar that creates a light signature at the bottom.

We still can’t see the side profile of the new RX, or even the three-quarters profile. If recent Lexus models have done anything, it is to be expected that the new RX will have elements of tone-down design with smoother creases and rounded surfaces compared to its angular predecessor.

Lexus is still tight-lipped about many details of the new RX, including what will be underneath the bonnet.

The current RX is available with three choices: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder RX300 produces 175kW of power, a 3.5-liter V6 RX350 produces 216kW, and a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid produces a total 2kW system on the RX450h. .

Although a hybrid is more or less guaranteed to be part of the fifth-generation range, it could use the 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup instead of the current V6 hybrid that is currently used on the NX.

A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the current generation NX may also be offered.

The interior of this new RX is probably going to look like the new NX. It will probably have the NX’s 14.0-inch touchscreen and release a trackpad-style infotainment setup.

It is not clear how many seats the fifth-generation RX will have. The current RX has five seats as standard, but the RX LO has a long rear overhand to accommodate the third row seats.

A report in April 2022 indicated that Lexus plans to launch a new model, called the TX, which will sit on top of the RX. In addition to the upcoming expanded version of the Toyota Highlander, the TX will be built in Indiana, also known locally as Kluger.

The TX, as well as the Toyota Grand Highlander, is said to feature up to eight seats across a long wheelbase and three rows.

The Lexus RX is the second best-selling car of the locally luxurious automaker It is also the third top-selling large luxury SUV.

As of April 2022, Lexus has sold a total of 564 RX models. It was sold by BMW X5 (913 sales) and Mercedes-Benz GLE Wagon (703 sales), but sold more than Land Rover Defender (533 sales), Audi Q7 (401 sales) and Volvo XC90 (248 sales). .
