Following the launch of the Bentley Bentayga S, Continental GT S, and Continental GTC S, Bentley announced an “S” version of the 2023 Flying Spar sedan on Monday.
Set to make its public debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month, the 2023 Bentley Flying Spar S receives a similar upgrade to other Bentley S models. This means that the focus is mainly on cosmetic changes, which include dark exterior trim.
The Flying Spar is distinguished from other versions of the SK Bentley sedan by blackened chrome trim, a glossy black grille and low air intake, dark colored headlights and taillights, red brake caliper, and black quad exhaust tips. Two model-specific wheel options are also available: a 22-inch wheel with a Y-spoke design, or a 21-inch tri-spoke wheel.
Bentley Flying Spur S.
Like the Continental GTS S and GTC S, the interior is decorated with a combination of dynamics like leather and suede. The seats have a flute pattern and quilting is optional The instrument cluster also receives graphics from Continental GT Speed.
Two powertrain options are available from Standard Flying Spar. The alternative one is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 that produces 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, which will get the Flying Spar S from 0-62 mph in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph, according to Bentley.
Option two is a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 that works with an electric motor powered by a 14.1-kwh battery pack. Borrowed from the Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, the hybrid system produces 536 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. Bentley says the plug-in hybrid is 0.6 seconds slower than the V-8 Flying Sparr at 0-62 miles per hour, and has an EPA-rated 21-mile electric range.
Bentley Flying Spur S.
Not available with the Flying Spur S 626-hp twin-turbo 6.0-liter W-12 engine. The V-8 Flying Spur S gets at least all-wheel steering and active anti-roll bars as standard equipment.
The hybrid model will start at $ 240,500, while the V-8 model will be priced at $ 241,200. Both prices exclude destination charges and potential gas-guzzler taxes সম্ভবত probably only for V-8s.
