A redesigned version of Honda’s top-selling CR-V crossover is coming soon. It is scheduled to go on sale as a 2023 model later this year, and Honda released the first official picture on Tuesday, though only for the time being.
Honda plans to release more details about the 2023 CR-V this summer but has confirmed that there will be more advanced hybrid powertrains, capable of delivering a “sportier” driving experience. The current Civic’s hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-liter inline-4 with a pair of electric motors for a total output of 212 hp. It also has standard all-wheel drive.
Photos of the 2023 CR-V for the Chinese market were released in early May. Along with those photos, some of the glasses on display point to be larger than the new CR-V’s replacement model, measuring 185.1 inches in length compared to the current model’s 182.1 inches. This is important because CR-Vs is offered in some markets with third tier seat options.

Teaser of 2023 Honda CR-V
The platform is likely to be similar to the one found in the redesigned 2022 CV. In some spy shots of the prototype, the interior is also expected to resemble the interior of the Civic.
Although there is a lot of competition in small crossover spaces with luxurious marks, the CR-V is still the top seller. The current model has sold an average of over 350,000 annual sales in the United States alone since its arrival in 2017, and a total of 361,271 instances were sold last year, even under production restrictions and covid restrictions.
Stay tuned for the 2023 CR-V release. There will also be redesigned versions of Honda’s HR-V and pilot crossovers for 2023. We’ve already seen the teaser of the 2023 HR-V and the prototype of the 2023 pilot.
