Hamburg-based music journalist Nico Backspin and Porsche took the back-to-tape project to the LBPhilharmony Concert Hall in Hamburg.
Back to Tape is a collaborative series between Porsche and German music journalist Nico Backspin, where Nico travels across Europe in search of hip-hop culture, art and creativity with a passion for rap, breakdance, DJing and graffiti. His latest stop on his tour brings him back to his hometown of Hamburg, where the Back to Tape series visits one of the world’s leading concert halls, the Hambourg LBPhilharmony.

With more than 25 years of extensive experience in the hip-hop world, Backspin and Porsche have been invited to tell their stories from the back-to-tape series at LBPhilharmoni, such as Lars Pedersen of Copenhagen, German rap icon Kars and Moses Pelham and German street dancer Bertner. The introduction of hip-hop culture into the culture of Hamburg adds to the charm of the evening program held at the LBPhilharmoni. Although hip-hop events typically occupy other types of venues, lbphilharmoni was an important place to hold back-to-tape, as it demonstrates the importance of hip-hop in Hamburg’s musical culture, representing albiphilharmoni and its events. The event represents Porsche’s commitment to this culture and cultural engagement in general as the brand has been a major sponsor of LBPhilharmony since 2021.
