The production of a polyester concept continues in a production model called Polyester 5. On Tuesday, the company unveiled a prototype of the Polyester 5. The fifth model in the Polyester lineup, Polyester 5 will make its public debut at the June 23, 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In Goodwood, the Polyester 5 prototype will go up the hill – that hill is Lord March’s driveway. The new Polyester 2 BST version 270, a high-performance version of the brand’s current electric sedan, will also make a public debut at Goodwood. It was shown online on June 2.
The Polestar 5 will be an electric performance four-door grand tour with styling based on the concept concept shown in February 2020. When Polyester showed the concept, it claimed that it pointed to the future design of the brand.
As can be seen, the shared prototype photo of the Polyester 5 was much more than the Prospect (shown below) looking almost identical. It has the same fastback shape, the same wedged nose, the same window line and the same flared hips. Headlights may be different. The prototype has a single round headlight, instead of the laser hammer look of the Precept. However, the car wears a camouflage, and the bald covers on the headlights seem to obscure the original design. Although Prospect had suicidal rear doors, we don’t expect them for production models.

Moving to its own components and platforms, Polyester 5 is hoping to get a bespoke aluminum-compact layout.
Although the photo published by Polyester does not show the interior, interested people can learn about it in the latest installment of the company’s “Precept: From Concept to Car” YouTube series.
The Polestar 5 will probably hit the market in 2024 and it will not be the 2024 model. Polyester will probably share some glasses if the prototype goes up the hill of Goodwood. If that doesn’t happen, it’s time to dump her and move on.
