Manthey-Racing has created a new performance upgrade package for the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3, and you’ll be able to purchase it directly from Porsche, meaning it won’t void the manufacturer’s warranty.
The 992-generation 911 GT3 already offers plenty of performance right out of the box, but Manthey’s kit, known as the Manthey Performance Kit, manages to shave the stock car’s Nürburgring lap time 4.19 seconds, giving a new time of 6: 55.737. In both cases GT3’s available Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires have been used.
Probably the most impressive is that it was achieved simply without the power dial from the car’s 4.0-liter Flat-6. Instead, the changes focus on aerodynamics and chassis.

The Aero upgrade includes a new lip spoiler and an extended diffuser with a flicks on the front and end plate on the back, and a wider carbon-fiber wing. Altered air channels under the car also help increase downforce on the front axle. Manthey also offers its own wheel design that features arrow discs for smooth airflow around the vehicle, and helps reduce the total aspron mass of about 16 pounds.
The main chassis upgrades include four-way adjustable suspension, upgraded brake line and, alternatively, racing brake pads. The new suspension means the struts can be adjusted to four positions, and tweaked without rebound and compression tools. Spring rates (10% up front and 7% down back) have also been changed to improve handling at the border.
A tow loop, door projector and illuminated door seal plate complete the package.

As mentioned earlier, no changes were made to the powertrain, which means the rear-mounted flat-6 engine has an output of 502 hp and 346 pound-feet of torque. The engine can be combined with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the latter being capable of rocketing a standard car at 0-60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds. Not bad for naturally aspiring 6-cylinder.
Manthey is a German motorsports and engineering company with which Porsche has had a close relationship for more than two decades. Based in Nürburgring, the company also serves as Porsche’s factory team at events, including the World Endurance Championship.
The Manthey Performance Kit for the 911 GT3 will be available in Europe from Autumn, priced at, 37,911 (approximately $ 40,420). Availability and pricing information for other markets will be announced at a later date.
