Lost BMW CSL Prototype, Bugatti Chiron L’Ébé, Pikes Peak Production Record

BMW has just released the 2023 M4 CSL, the first “coupe, sport, lightweight” from the E46-generation M3 in the early 2000’s, but the company also considers the V-8, an E46 M3 CSL with an E60-generation M5 sedan, and a E63-generation M6 coupe. The 2008 global financial crisis killed at least one of those cars.

With the delivery of two new cars, a Chiron bé and a Chiron Sport L’Ébé, the Bugatti has completed Chiron delivery in Europe. A third L’Ébé model will be delivered to an unknown customer The L’Ébé models honor Ettore Bugatti’s daughter and bring open blue carbon-fiber bodywork, gold exterior accents and L’Ébé’s autographs and images of the past Bugatis inside.

The 100th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is coming to an end this month and three-time winner David Donner will try to restore the production car record that Rice Millen set in 2019. Milne broke Donner’s previous record at a Bentley Continental and has a good shot to drive a 911 Turbo S on a 992-generation Porsche with a donor lightweight package.
