Hyundai’s Largest SUV, PolysedHit with a four-star ANCAP security rating.
The eight-seater family holer fell below the five-star mark due to adult safety (79 percent) and safety assistance (63 percent) scores. Five stars require a threshold of 80 percent and 70 percent, respectively.
Polysid was identified on the security support front due to the effectiveness of its AEB and lane-keep system, where the presence of a central airbag could enhance the adult occupant rating.
The Palisade is the second Hyundai SUV to hit with a four-star rating after the Venue, which was marked by a lack of cyclist identification in its AEB system.
It is the only one of its large SUV peers to fall below the five-star rating in the ANCAP test, although not all of them have been tested under the same criteria.
