It’s a car that you can throw very quickly at an angle of ten miles per hour and it can still somehow hold on to your favorite life. Of course, we got all the arrow bits mentioned to thank for it. However, in addition to the sheer handling performance, the F8 provides an incredibly composite drive. It was virtually impossible to misuse the F8 during multiple runs through the canyon. All of its stability and traction systems are nicely tuned to keep you on the side of a hill, despite the fact that a normal road can really handle the kind of speed it pushes.

Once things slow down a bit, and F8 is tasked with navigating a crowded city like Los Angeles, it reveals another aspect of his personality. The Independent Car Servicing Company is ready for the EV revolution

Independent servicing and repair company Mike’s tires and autoFormerly known as Kmart Tire and Auto, it is upgrading several of its stores across Australia to provide services for electric vehicles (EVs).

Mike currently has eight sites around Australia that have been billed as EV-ready, but plans to upgrade 22 more by August of this year, bringing the total number of EV-ready locations to 30.

In addition to providing general logbook services, these 30 sites will offer “Mike EV” service packages. Specific details surrounding these EV service packages are currently opaque We don’t know the price, the length of the term, what the plus is and what is not covered.

The Kangan Institute is training and improving technicians so that they can provide EV services and support EV owners, as part of an upgrade to 30 MIC service centers to prepare EVs.

To date, 35 technicians have been trained and trained by Melbourne-based educational institutions.

Also, all 276 Micra service centers are already able to assist EV owners with basic necessities such as tires, window wipers and globes.

The company said it was “investing heavily” in its own EV network across Australia by “improving store fit-outs” and adding more EV chargers to service centers.

This ramp-up of independent EV servicing and repair is an important step in creating a competitive and fair playing field between OEM and third-party repairmen.

When the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Motor Vehicle Services and Repair Information Sharing Scheme) Act 2021 comes into force on July 1, OEMs will be required to provide proprietary service and repair data to independent repair businesses across the country.

We will mention that many brands already sell their data, but the law will make it mandatory.

As previously detailed, Australian BYD partner EVDirect.com plans to use mycar as an official service partner. This is in addition to a retail and service partnership with car dealer group Easers Automotive.

BYD expects to begin delivery of its first EV model, the Atto 3, to the Australian market in July 2022.

This is not the first time that Mike has recently pivoted, announcing an agreement to work on official service and warranty work for AusMV – a Queensland-based company that locally rebuilds Dodge, Ford and Ram vehicles.
