Bugatti announced on Monday the Chiron and Chiron Sport L’Ébé, a limited race of just three cars to honor the daughter of founder Itto Bugatti and mark the end of Chiron delivery in Europe.
Born in 1903, L’Ebe Bugatti got his name from his father’s initials – “EB.” She did so in order to avoid leaving the Bugatti name when she got married, according to a company press release. Lobe describes his father’s life and company in a book, “The Story of Bugatti.”

The boogie will last forever
Chiron and Chiron Sport L’Ébé unveil blue carbon-fiber bodywork with gold accents. The latter highlights the resonant lettering lines of the Bugatti Type 57G tank, which according to Bugatti won the 24-hour Le Mans in 1937. The grille, badge, wheel, and engine cover parts are trimmed gold, and the L’Ébé signature is placed all over the car – including the underside of the rear wing.
The door panel has more blue carbon fiber on the inside, along with pictures of Bugatti’s past cars. The color combination — Silk Leather with Lake Blue Highlights — also contrasts between the driver and the passenger side.

As a refresher, the standard Chiron boasts Bugatti’s 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W-16, which produces 1,480 hp and 1,180 pound-feet of torque. The Chiron Sport has the same output, but a more extensive use of carbon fiber – including the windshield wiper – which saves 40 pounds from its carb weight.
Bugatti has already delivered a Chiron L’Ébé and a Chiron Sport L’Ébé, the third car is expected to be delivered later this month. These three cars will be the final Chirons to be delivered in Europe. Bugatti confirmed in January that the Chiron had sold out, but the production of other variants meant the final cars would not be delivered for some time. The final 40 cars will be used in the Sport and Super Sport models, as well as in Chiron’s W-16 Bold Track.
