The expensive GMC Hummer EV is going to get around $ 6,250 more expensive. Starting Saturday, June 18, prices for every 2023 GMC Hummer EV pickup and SUV will increase, although GMC will respect the original price for those who have reserved a 3X model before that date.
GMC cited rising costs for supply logistics, supply chains and technology as the reasons for the push. This is at least the third price increase from General Motors in the last few months. The 2023 Chevy Corvette recently added a 2,300 price increase, and GMC added $ 3,000 to the price of the AT4X before it was released. In contrast, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV dropped nearly $ 6,000 last week.
The 3X pickup is the next Hummer EV due to hit the market, and it is coming after a limited year of 2022 which only features the Hummer EV version 1 model. The 3X will use the same 24-module battery pack as the version 1 and will offer a WhatsApp to Freedom performance setting that unlocks 0-60 mph in about three seconds. Although the ramp up of the Hummer EV lineup has been slow – GMC says it has delivered 100 units by March – demand has been strong. GMC has confirmed that there are now over 77,500 reservations for the Hummer EV across all versions.
