Toyota There are detailed upgrades for 2023 Toyota Corolla Range In Europe, some of the changes that could hit Australia later this year are being looked at first.
Changes for Europe include a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with cloud-based navigation and voice assistants, as well as refreshed design elements, new colors and improved driver support features.
Last month Toyota Australia confirmed a series of ongoing changes across the Corolla, Yaris, Yaris Cross, C-HR, Camry and GR Supra lines, due to injuries in local showrooms in the second half of 2022.
Toyota did not elaborate on what Australian models would gain outside of a beef-up 98kW 1.8-liter hybrid system.
It confirmed that Australian models will receive “the latest version of Toyota’s multimedia system with additional USB-C connectivity”, as well as Toyota-connected services, “many updated safety and convenience features and external styling changes with the new alloy wheel design” in an updated color palette. “

The most notable changes for Europe include the addition of a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, complete with a new 10.5-inch high-resolution infotainment system, complete with Internet-connected services.
There is a new “on-board voice agent” that responds to “natural, conversational requests” for media and vehicle functions such as opening and closing windows.

The new Dark and Light Harmony interior themes bring in integrated colors and finishes for a “contemporary, elegant feel”.
Safety and driver assistance is also getting an update for 2023, with the European market adopting a new T-Mate suite that combines the Toyota Safety Sense Assistance package with “other active driving and parking assistance systems.”
Key upgrades include:
- Acceleration suppression: Reacts to sudden use for accelerator when traveling at low speeds
- Conflict Avoidance Support: Extended AEB that assists at intersections or junctions; Also now includes avoiding lateral collisions
- Emergency steering assistance: Now the incoming vehicles have been improved to recognize
- Curve speed reduction: Adjusts cruise control speed adapted for curves and turns

All versions of the Corolla in Europe and the United Kingdom are hybrid, and the 2023 lineup features Toyota’s latest hybrid system – both the 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter systems available in the region.
