2023 Tesla Model Y price and specs, delivery time confirmed

Tesla’s much-anticipated model Y SUV has finally been priced for Australia.

The electric SUV will start at $ 68,900 before the on-road cost for the rear-wheel drive model, which is just called the Model Y, while the Model Y performance will give you back $ 93,900 before the on-road.

The All-Wheel Drive Long Range model is not on offer at launch in Australia

Delivery is expected to begin between August and November, led by the rear-wheel drive model. Tesla Australia shows “late 2022” as the expected delivery date for configuration performance.

The starting price is $ 5000 more than the corresponding Model 3 sedan and lest 4000 more than the Polestar 2 long range single motor. It costs $ 1000 more than the Kia EV6 Air, but the Hyundai Ioniq 5 costs $ 3000 less.

Tesla does not readily provide power and torque statistics and instead relies on 0-100km / h times and maximum speeds.

The base, single-motor rear-wheel drive Tesla model Y claims 0-100km / h time 6.9 seconds, while dual-motor all-wheel drive performance reduces it to 3.7 seconds.

According to the EV database, the performance produces 413kW of power and 660Nm of torque.

Maximum speed is 217km / h in Model Y and 250km / h in Model Y performance.

Range

The base Tesla Model Y claims a 455km range under rigorous WLTP test cycles, with a 514km range of performance.

Performance uses an 82kWh battery.

Dimensions

Tesla Model Y 4751 mm long, 1921 mm wide and 1623 mm long, with a 2890 mm wheelbase.

Claimed boot space Folding seats up to 2158 liters, or 854 liters on the roof and with them Frank.

Model Y Long Range weighs 1909 kg, Performance weighs 1997 kg.

Servicing and warranty

The battery covered by the Tesla Model Y Australia with a four-year, 80,000-kilometer warranty, an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty will not go below 70 percent of its original capacity.
