BMW The new model is celebrating 50 years of its M division with a raft of launches, and new M2 Coupe may also be present as part of the celebration.
The creepy M2 prototypes have already been spied on numerous times, but BMW has now officially released a 36-second teaser video announcing on its social media that the high-performance coupe is underway.
Although it has not yet announced a release date.
Like most teaser content, the video is full of interesting people’s interesting stuff, and the car has only a few blurry, fleeting glimpses.
From what can be seen in the video, the BMW M2 retains the silhouette of the Basic 2 Series but has a different bumper on the front and a larger, trapezoidal low air intake.
It is supported by the previous Spide prototype which has an almost rectangular twin grille and small vents in the corners of the LED headlights.
There’s also a brief glimpse inside the upcoming M2. Thanks to the spy photos, we already know that the M2 will come with a BMW curved display.
The screen set-up looks similar to the i4 and iX, which use a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen mounted in the same housing.
The twin screens of these models run the latest BMW iDrive OS 8.0 infotainment software, including satellite navigation as standard.
In contrast, the Regular 2 Series has a separate 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen powered by OS 7.0, although BMW has confirmed that it will also adopt a BMW curved display, at least in Europe in July.
In standard camouflage, the M2 will have more power than the outgoing M2 Competition, which produces 302kW of power and 550Nm of torque from its 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine.

The new M2 Competition, with its output increasing to 335kW or even 365kW, a six-speed manual transmission is also expected to continue.
This level of power in the new competition puts M3 and M4 larger than M2’s crosshairs. They both pump 353kW and 550Nm base, manual camouflage, the competition models 375kW.

So far, it has released lightweight and more powerful BMW M4 CSL, M3 and M4 50 Jahre Special Edition and All-Electric iX M60.
BMW has already confirmed that it plans to release the M3 Turing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June 2022, and plans to release a production version of the Concept XM Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) SUV by the end of 2022.
Other new BMW M cars are expected to be released this year, the M3 CS sedan, and a manual transmission-equipped M4 GT / H.
